Walt Disney World released a room discount for early 2027, offering up to 25% off at select resorts for stays from January 3 through April 29, 2027. The savings apply to most nights within that window, though the percentage you get depends on which resort you book and when you visit.

The discount splits into two date ranges with different rules. The higher percentage runs from February 28 through April 29, 2027, and applies to most nights. The lower percentage covers January 3 through February 25, 2027, but only on most Sunday through Thursday nights, which means weekend stays in January and most of February are excluded.

Room availability for this offer is limited, and savings are based on the standard rack rate for the same room. Some resorts have length-of-stay requirements.

Save Up to 25% at Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club Resorts

The top tier gets 25% off most nights from February 28 to April 29, 2027, and 20% off most Sunday through Thursday nights from January 3 to February 25, 2027. This tier is almost entirely deluxe and Disney Vacation Club properties.

Resorts in this tier include Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas at both Kidani Village and Jambo House, Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's Beach Club Villas, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's BoardWalk Villas, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort king bed rooms, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney's Old Key West Resort one bedroom and two bedroom villas, Disney's Riviera Resort, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

The higher the rack rate, the more room there is to discount, and 25% off a Grand Floridian night is a considerably larger dollar figure than 25% off a value resort.

Save Up to 20% at Select Deluxe and Moderate Resorts

The middle tier gets 20% off most nights from February 28 to April 29, 2027, and 15% off most Sunday through Thursday nights from January 3 to February 25, 2027.

Resorts in this tier include Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge resort view rooms, Disney's Art of Animation Resort family suites, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Disney's Old Key West Resort deluxe studios, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Polynesian Villas and Bungalows, and Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside.

The Polynesian sits in this tier rather than the top one, which is a little surprising for a deluxe monorail resort. Demand there has stayed strong since Island Tower opened, and Disney appears to feel less pressure to discount it.

Save Up to 15% at Value Resorts

The bottom tier gets 15% off most nights from February 28 to April 29, 2027, and 10% off most Sunday through Thursday nights from January 3 to February 25, 2027.

Resorts in this tier include Disney's All Star Movies Resort, Disney's All Star Music Resort, Disney's All Star Sports Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort standard rooms, The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort excluding January and February dates, Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter, and Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside standard location rooms.

Value resorts always land at the bottom of these structures, and the math explains why. There is simply less margin to give away on a room that already prices low.

What Is Excluded

A few room types are not eligible for this offer. Three bedroom villas, cabins at Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and bungalows, tower one bedroom villas, two bedroom villas, and penthouses at Disney's Polynesian Villas and Bungalows are all excluded.

The exclusions are all high end, high demand accommodations that tend to book regardless of price.

How This Compares to Other Discounts

This is one of a growing number of special offers that has been released for the first few months of 2027 at Walt Disney World, with offers for the general public as well as Annual Passholders. A separate Disney Visa Cardmember discount was just released that offers up to 30% off resort room rates for January through April 2027.

The Disney Visa Cardmember discount essentially slots in where a Florida resident rate would normally appear, which is right between the general public deal and Annual Passholder rate. The Disney Visa deal maxes out at 30% off and uses the same resort tiers as the general public discount, but it adds exclusive savings of 10% to 20% off depending on the tier for stays most Friday and Saturday nights from January 8 to February 27, 2027 with a five night or longer stay.

That Friday and Saturday coverage is excluded entirely from the general public rate, which means the Disney Visa deal might end up being the best overall special offer for guests planning weekend stays.

There is also a marquee general public discount that saves up to $250 per night at Walt Disney World and runs all the way through July 28, 2027. Disney has also released savings on room and ticket packages.

Sample Pricing and Strategy

The percentage gap between tiers is significant. A deluxe resort at 25% off can end up closer to a moderate at 20% off than people expect, especially in the spring window. It is worth running the actual numbers rather than assuming the value resort is the cheapest path.

Art of Animation appears in two different tiers, with family suites at 20% and standard rooms at 15%. Same resort, different discount, so check which room type you are pricing.

The January and February window is Sunday through Thursday only, which is restrictive. If your dates are flexible, the spring window offers a higher percentage and better weekend availability.

This is a room only discount, which means it applies to the room and not to tickets. Depending on your trip length and ticket needs, a package discount might work out better.

Why Disney Is Discounting Spring 2027

The spring window is more flexible and carries a better percentage than the January and February window, which is unusual. Disney is clearly trying to fill dates in a stretch that includes some genuinely busy periods.

The best guess is that Walt Disney World is trying to maintain high occupancy numbers, the level of which have fueled record setting revenue results, but that they will only allocate as much inventory as is necessary to hit internal targets. Plan on being flexible with your hotel choice, room category, and travel dates for the biggest savings.

Even as other dates have seen a slowdown at Walt Disney World, winter and early spring have actually increased in popularity, so you should count on many of these dates being very competitive.

How to Book

You can book directly through Walt Disney World's website or by phone at 407-939-5277. If you already have a reservation for these dates, check with Disney to see if you can apply this discount to your existing booking.

Rack rates at Walt Disney World are the starting point, not the price most people should be paying. Discounts are released in waves, cover specific date ranges, and apply differently depending on the resort tier you are looking at. Book before an offer drops, and you are frequently leaving several hundred dollars on the table for the exact same room.
