New Coco Lantern Sipper Arrives at Disneyland Resort on September 3rd

The beautiful new collectible resembles a decorative lantern with translucent character artwork featuring Miguel and Héctor, arriving for Día de Los Muertos season while supplies last.

Disneyland Resort is releasing a new Coco Lantern Sipper on September 3rd. The collectible sipper evokes the decorative lanterns and marigold bridge from Pixar's Coco, bringing a piece of the Land of the Dead to guests during this year's Día de Los Muertos celebration.

The sipper will be available at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante in Disneyland and Ship to Shore Marketplace in Disney California Adventure. Disney announced the release on social media, inviting guests to follow the marigolds to their new favorite sipper.

Design Details

The lantern design features translucent character artwork on its panels showing Miguel and Héctor surrounded by colorful marigolds and papel picado style decorations. Along the left edge of the sipper's inner surface, Miguel also appears in his normal, living form.

A domed, tiled roof sits on top of the lantern with a straw protruding from it. Floral cutouts decorate both the upper and lower borders of the sipper. The whole design pulls directly from the visual language of Coco, particularly the marigold lined bridge that connects the Land of the Dead to the Land of the Living in the film.

The sipper comes with a detachable red carrying strap featuring orange and yellow marigolds alongside the Disney Parks wordmark. The strap makes it easier to carry the lantern around the parks while you're using it throughout the day.

Availability and Limits

The Coco Lantern Sipper will be available for a limited time while supplies last. Disney is limiting purchases to two per person, per transaction, and no discounts will apply to the sipper.

Disney has not announced a price for the sipper yet. The company also hasn't confirmed whether the lantern includes a light up feature, though the design certainly suggests it could work well as an illuminated piece.

The September 3rd release puts the sipper on shelves well ahead of the official start of Día de Los Muertos festivities at Disneyland Resort. That timing gives collectors and Coco fans a chance to grab one before the seasonal crowds arrive and supplies potentially run out.

Coco at Disneyland

Coco takes center stage as part of Disneyland's Día de Los Muertos celebration with Plaza de la Familia. The event happens during a time when Halloween and Día de Los Muertos share space at the resort, giving guests a chance to experience both seasonal offerings at once.

The new sipper adds another collectible option for guests who want to bring home a piece of the Coco experience. Limited time sippers have become popular items at Disney Parks, often selling out quickly when they feature beloved characters or particularly creative designs.

The Coco Lantern Sipper debuts September 3rd at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante in Disneyland and Ship to Shore Marketplace in Disney California Adventure.
