Universal Orlando has added a Stranger Things lagoon show to Halloween Horror Nights 35 at Universal Studios Florida. Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins is now playing six times each event night from the Central Park viewing area, with performances scheduled for 9 p.m., 9:45 p.m., 10:30 p.m., 11:15 p.m., midnight, and 12:45 a.m.

The new show joins the Stranger Things 5 haunted house at the separately ticketed event, which opened yesterday and runs select nights through November 1. This marks the first time Stranger Things has pulled double duty at Halloween Horror Nights with both a haunted house and a lagoon production running simultaneously.

Universal describes Return to Hawkins as an all-new nighttime lagoon show honoring the legacy of Stranger Things. The production uses towering water screens, lighting effects, immersive audio, and music from the Netflix series to revisit memorable scenes across all five seasons.

The Show Is Framed as a WSQK Broadcast

Return to Hawkins is structured as a special WSQK broadcast, taking guests back through the most memorable moments of the Netflix series. The show pulls from all five seasons of Stranger Things, creating a retrospective experience separate from the Halloween Horror Nights haunted house.

The Stranger Things 5 haunted house focuses specifically on the series' fifth and final season. It sends guests back into Hawkins for a confrontation with Vecna and creatures from the Upside Down, giving the two experiences distinct angles on the franchise.

Six Shows Per Night Create Scheduling Flexibility

The six-show schedule gives guests multiple opportunities to catch Return to Hawkins without sacrificing too much time in the haunted houses. A 9 p.m. performance fits into an earlier-night plan, while the midnight and 12:45 a.m. shows offer another chance after prioritizing the 10 haunted houses and scare zones.

Universal identifies Return to Hawkins as one of Halloween Horror Nights 35's two live shows, alongside Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir. The lagoon production becomes another fixed-time experience guests need to work around when planning their night.

Halloween Horror Nights 35 includes 10 haunted houses in addition to scare zones, live entertainment, food, merchandise, and select attractions. Universal expanded Stay & Scream access this year, with select houses available before the event's general 6:30 p.m. start. That early access could be useful for guests who want to clear several houses before taking a Central Park viewing spot for the 9 p.m. lagoon show.

More Content Arrives as Multi-Night Pass Prices Increase

The timing matters for guests watching the cost of Halloween Horror Nights. All four multi-night pass tiers increased this year compared with their prices in 2025. Rush of Fear rose from $199.99 to $229.99, while the Ultimate Frequent Fear Pass increased from $419.99 to $449.99, with the two middle tiers also moving higher.

Universal has not announced a new price increase tied to the lagoon show specifically. The expanding lineup gives guests more to weigh when deciding how much access they need, but the addition of Return to Hawkins becomes part of the value calculation rather than evidence of another unannounced hike.

Universal also changed how repeat visitors can buy expedited access. The company discontinued Frequent Fear products bundled with Express, changing the options available to guests who want shorter wait times across multiple visits.

Premium Scream Night Offers Exclusive Access

Universal is also selling Premium Scream Night, an exclusive Halloween Horror Nights product held on August 27 and October 19. The premium offering includes shorter wait times and select all-you-care-to-enjoy food, sitting alongside regular single-night admission and multi-night passes.

The premium product reinforces how many access choices now surround the event. Guests can choose from single-night tickets, four tiers of multi-night passes, Premium Scream Night, and Stay & Scream early access depending on their budget and how many houses they want to experience.

What Universal Has Not Announced

Universal has not said that Return to Hawkins will become a permanent Universal Studios Florida offering or continue beyond Halloween Horror Nights 35. For now, it remains an event exclusive, giving Halloween Horror Nights 35 another major Stranger Things draw alongside the Stranger Things 5 haunted house.

Schedules remain subject to operational changes. Guests should check Universal's official information and the Universal Orlando app on the date of their visit to confirm performance times.

For Stranger Things fans, the clearest consequence is simple. Seeing everything tied to Hawkins at Halloween Horror Nights 35 now requires more time than just walking through one haunted house. The lagoon show offers a separate retrospective built around the larger series, while the haunted house focuses on the final season. The six nightly performances should make that combination easier to manage, especially for guests willing to save the lagoon for later in the evening.
