Disney Believe Reveal Week Kicks Off With a Scavenger Hunt, an Evil Queen Goblet and a Lot of Questions

Disney Cruise Line is teasing its newest ship one clue at a time, and the first day aboard Disney Wish already has us hooked.

Disney Believe is still about a year away from setting sail, but Disney Cruise Line has started peeling back the curtain, and it wants fans to work for it. A group of media is aboard Disney Wish for a hosted experience building toward the full Disney Believe reveal on Wednesday. Day one was a scavenger hunt.

The ship's theme of promise and possibilities is baked right into the fun. Participants are chasing clues and getting little tastes of what could await on the new ship, and Disney is making sure nobody gets the whole picture at once.

One Clue Per Outlet

Here is the catch. After an afternoon reception, media headed out on the hunt, but each outlet was only given a single clue. That means different groups are uncovering different pieces of the puzzle, and nobody is guaranteed to see everything Disney hid around the ship.

Our clue starred Snow White. We had to finish a puzzle and then head to the spot where fireflies gather, which pointed us to The Bayou, the lounge on Disney Wish inspired by The Princess and the Frog.

The reward was a very suspicious looking apple drink, served in an elaborate goblet shaped like the Evil Queen. Yes, we drank it. No, we did not feel any different afterward.

Other Groups, Other Surprises

Right next door, another group gathered inside Nightingale's, the ship's piano bar. They appeared to have earned a specialty drink served in a seashell, with a very Little Mermaid look to it.

A contributor who took part separately found an Anxiety inspired treat at Inside Out: Joyful Sweets. So the clues clearly lead all over the ship, and each group walked away with something different.

Even the clue cards were designed around the Disney Believe theme. A constellation style pattern stretches across the background, echoing the ship's focus on wishes and dreams, and four stars run along the top of each card.

Before anyone gets too excited, Disney has not said that the spots used on Disney Wish match where these drinks and treats will eventually be found on Disney Believe. For now, think of them as playful hints rather than a floor plan.

Halloween on the High Seas

Not everything aboard was a Disney Believe clue, though Believe seems to be following us around the ship. The evening shifted to Halloween on the High Seas, Disney Cruise Line's seasonal celebration.

At Cove Café, the adults only coffee shop, the Halloween menu was packed with drinks inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas. The lineup included The Pumpkin King, Creepy Crawly Shake, Patchwork Dream Café and Spiral Hill Martini.

A Towel Animal With a Message

At the end of the night, our crew returned to the stateroom and found a towel folded into Pascal from Tangled. It came with a note about what lies ahead.

The message told the Sea-Kers to visit Fairytale Hall inside Disney's Oceaneer Club the next morning. It even winked at the club's famous entrance by saying they could arrive by slide or stairs. A Story Keeper is expected to give the exact time of the next meeting.

Day one gave us our first real tastes of Disney Believe, and plenty of questions remain. The hunt for clues continues tomorrow, and we are one day closer to the full reveal. We will keep updating as Disney drops more hints and, eventually, the answers.
